A totally wonderful evening which started with a warm greeting from the owner as we entered the restaurant. First of all I spent quite a bit of time reading the huge wine list, finally settling on a bottle of Shramsberg Blanc de Noir to start and the 1985 Clos du Bois Reserve Cab for the entrees. Both were excellant, presented very nicely and fairly priced. Our appetizers were oysters on the half shell,from Canada not the mushy west coast ones, and a homemade pate that was wonderfull. We both had the lobster bisque which is the best I have ever eaten, and this is my favorite soup, so I have had many different versions. My entree was the duck, my wife had a pepper steak, and we both agreed that the preparations were world class. We finished the evening by splitting a baked brie, which is actually an appetizer. The service and atmosphere of this restaurant are every bit as the great food. Tom Power
