The Cellar has been recognized for its over 1400 wine selections from which to choose. Ernest Zingg describes
his list of wines as 60 percent California, 30 percent France, and 10 percent the rest of
the world. Mr. Zingg developed his particular passion for wine while studying at the
prestigious School for Hotel and Restaurant Management in Lausanne, Switzerland.
His devotion shows in his restaurant.... it is truly one of the most
romantic dining spots anywhere! The restaurant, located in Villa del Sol, is a real wine
cellar, a mock cave carved into the ground approximately 15 feet below street level.
However, Zingg stores his wines on two levels above the dining room, in specially
constructed, temperature controlled rooms maintained at 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
